New Crest Court in Carlsbad is preparing to open for sales. This new community of 16 single family homes being built by Davidson Communities will feature 16 one and two story homes ranging from 3,110 to 4,234 square feet. These new homes in Carlsbad will include up to 5 bedrooms and 4½ Bathrooms with 3 car garages. New Crest Court is located off Blackrail Road on a new cul-de-sac street.
Construction on the new home models at Montecina in La Costa has been moving swiftly with an opening forthcoming very soon. The new homes at Montecina being built by Taylor Morrison in Carlsbad’s La Costa area will feature 32 detached single family homes including single story and two story homes.
Arterro at La Costa is currently under construction on the site just north of the La Costa Town Square Development and south of the La Costa Oaks master planned community. It is expected that Arterro at La Costa will open for sales in early 2014. Much of the site work, streets and entry construction is well underway. Davidson Communities will build 63 luxury single family detached homes.
Laurel Point in Vista is a new home community under construction in Vista near the Vista Sports Park on near Bobier Drive and Sports Park Way. With an anticipated opening of early 2014, Laurel point will offer single family detached homes for sale in a gated community. Homes will be single and two story ranging from 2,569 to 3,961 square feet.

So where will the new homes be built in the coming years? It appears that a bulk of the new housing will be built along the I-15 corridor between Escondido and Fallbrook as well as in San Marcos, Carlsbad and rural areas. Two new communities that are under construction which I have talked about before are Harmony Grove Village and La Costa Town Square. Harmony Grove Village being developed by Standard Pacific will bring 742 homes to market as site work continues at the site between San Marcos and Escondido. Also under construction is La Costa Town Square, a mixed use development site will bring 98 new homes to the market in Carlsbad.
