The 189 new home community known as San Marcos Highlands was recently approved by the San Marcos City Council. After a long battle and a revised Environmental Impact Report the developer received a 4 to 1 vote in favor of the community. This does not mean they are ready to start building homes as the developer is still waiting for additional approvals and there is still public opposition to the development.
San Marcos Highlands is located at the north end of Las Posas Road and will hopefully feature much needed new homes starting in the $600,000s. For more information on the community read the article at San Diego Union Tribune.
