The community of Rancho Peñasquitos is located west of Interstate 15, south of Rancho Bernardo, and east of the Torrey Highlands Community. State Route 56 traverses east-west through the central portion of the community. The community includes approximately 10,000 acres including Black Mountain Regional Park. About half of the community is designated for residential and 34% for open space and parks. Shopping and conveniences are located within easy reach of homes at various town centers.
Rancho Peñasquitos provides a fantastic climate and a scenic topography that offers numerous canyons, rolling hills and ridges. The most prominent feature of the community is Black Mountain which rises to an elevation of 1,500 feet. A wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors on the many hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
